Our activity
Managed by a consortium of industrial companies representing the aeronautical and environmental world, and developed through the « Aerospace Valley » cluster, TARMAC AEROSAVE is an innovative company, entirely respectful of environment.
TARMAC AEROSAVE materialises the industrial phase of the PAMELA-Life project (Process for Advanced Management of End-of-Life of Aircraft), which demonstrated, from 2006 to 2007, that 80 to 85 % of parts and material contained in a first generation Airbus aircraft could be re-used or recovered and recycled.
All this was done in secured conditions, reducing by three the weight of non recycled waste and the impact on environment.
TARMAC AEROSAVE proposes, on a single site, a global offer to all aircraft owners, both civil and military: storage and maintenance of aircraft, dismantling and re-certification of parts that can be put back into service.
That way, aircraft owners can prepare for the evolution of european law concerning end-of-life products and their valorization.
Issues related to management
- of aircraft storage,
- of disassembly operations for re-usable parts after recertification by dedicated component workshop,
- of recycling and valorization of material, while ensuring complete traceability of all the parts
are fundamental and must respect health and security conditions as well as reduce environmental impact.
From manufacturers to airlines, the entire aeronautical community is uniting today in order to develop initiatives and innovations aiming at the optimization of environmental performances of aircraft, so as to ensure that it remains one of the most eco-efficient and secure ways of transportation.
Therefore, putting their expertise together, AIRBUS, its broker TASC, SITA FRANCE (SUEZ group), SNECMA (SAFRAN group), EQUIP’ AERO and AEROCONSEIL have created TARMAC AEROSAVE.
From storage to dismantling and maintenance, for civil or military aircraft, TARMAC AEROSAVE is part of a sustainable development process, in optimum security and industrial performance conditions
Thanks to the industrial experience of its partners and its own, TARMAC Aerosave offers:
- storage operations, in compliance with PART 145 legislation,
- dismantling operations, in compliance with the most strict environmental standards,
- the guarantee of traceability of all re-usable equipments and parts,
- a secure network for the recovery of second hand parts,
- revalorization of aircraft parts/material up to 95% of the aircraft’s total weight,
- the sorting of all material destined to recycling channels which can obtain aeronautical quality aluminium
AND THEREFORE
- enables companies to get rid of their old aircraft,
- dispenses them of parking fees on airports when their aircraft are out of service
- avoids aircraft wrecks on airports zones.
